However, the lack of socialization and interest in finding out about malaria and how to medicate it makes malaria still considered a common disease by the people in malaria endemic areas. Malaria cases globally reached 219 million in 2017, with 435,000 cases attributed to malaria, in Indonesia, the Sarmi District Health Profile in 2017, 31,068 cases of malaria patients.Sarmi Regency cases of pregnant women infected with Malaria in 2010 were 260 people (1.5%) with a total population of 41,515 residents.Method: To ascertain the association between knowledge and attitudes about malaria and the behavior of pregnant women to seek treatment for malaria in pregnancy at Samanente Public Health Center, Sarmi Regency, a cross-sectional, correlational analysis study was carried out. The instrument was a questionnaire, with a sample size of 30 respondents, obtained using a simple random sampling method. population in this study 30 people, this research used sampling technique Total Sampling with sampling 30 people. Inclusion criteria on this research is Willing to be a respondent, Mothers who are pregnant and currently or have suffered from malaria, Can read and write. Criteria exclusions in this study are Pregnant women who are sick at the time of the study, Pregnant women with Auto Immune, Pregnant women with pregnancy complicationsResults: it was found that respondents with moderate knowledge who did not have the habit of seeking malaria treatment in pregnancy were 56.3% and the group of respondents with good knowledge who did not have the habit of seeking malaria treatment in pregnancy was 71.4%. This indicates that having a greater degree of information can improve the proportion of behavior for not seeking malaria treatment during pregnancy, which is 15.1%. The study found no correlation between pregnant women's knowledge level and behavior in seeking treatment for malaria (P>0.05). On the contrary, there was a significant correlation between pregnant women's attitudes toward malaria and their behavior in seeking malaria treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion: Improved knowledge is associated with increased maternal awareness of malaria, and positive attitudes can help raise awareness of malaria. It is to be expected that pregnant women who seek treatment for malaria will have a greater understanding of the disease and a more positive attitude toward it.Suggestion: We propose that pregnant women should be required to regularly visit the health center for prenatal care examinations in order to enhance their understanding and attitudes toward malaria by obtaining malaria medication during pregnancy. This approach employs the whole parasite, triggering a strong immune response and potentially providing long-term protection. The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of the PfSPZ- Chemoprophylaxis Vaccine (PfSPZ-CVac) for malaria prevention. A systematic review following PRISMA guidelines was conducted, focusing on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that assessed the efficacy and safety of the vaccine. Seven eligible studies were selected from eight electronic databases. The quality was assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool, and data analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.4. PfSPZ-CVac combines live sporozoites with chloroquine, which prevents the parasite from entering the liver and enhance the body’s immune response, particularly T-cell activation, to provide long- lasting protection against malaria. The meta-analysis revealed a significant reduction in parasitemia (P<0.00001, I²=35%, MD=0.38). Local solicited adverse events did not show a significant increase (MD=0.73, P=0.45, I²=0%). Similarly, systemic solicited adverse events and unsolicited adverse events demonstrated minimal risks (MD=0.89, P=0.56, I²=23%; MD=0.65, P=0.20, I²=0%). Although PfSPZ-CVac exhibits high efficacy, its administration is complex, and it carries a slight of rare adverse reactions. PfSPZ-CVac demonstrates potential for providing strong, long-term protection against malaria , with a positive safety profile, making it a promising candidate for widespread use in high-transmission regions. D3 is a period time that Early Treatment Failure may happen which may cause severe or complicated malaria. Moreover, if the asexual parasitemia is still detected more than 10% study subjects, it is assumed parasites resistance against artemisinin. Methods: Analysis used data from Monitoring Drug Resistance In Subject With P.falciparum And P.vivax Malaria In Kalimantan And Sulawesi. Clinical data was gotten from anamnesis to identify clinical symptoms and physical examination including vital and clinical signs that was notified in case report form (CRF). Parasitological data was cross check examination from NIHRD microscopist for parasite density, and PCR examination result for Plasmodium detection and speciation that were recorded in log book and/or CRF. Clinical and parasitological response of DHP was examined with compared the condition of falciparum and vivax malaria on D0 (before treatment) and D3 (after 3 days treatment with completed dose). Result: Total malaria subject that were analyzed 206 subject, that were 119 falciparum malaria and 87 vivax malaria. Proportion subject falciparum and vivax malaria with clinical symptoms deceased significantly on D3 (p<0.05), accepted diarrhea on subject with vivax malaria. Proportion clinical signs also decreased significantly on D3, accepted dyspneu on falciparum malaria subject. From 206 malaria subject, only 1 subject (0,8%) with falciparum malaria that still was found asexual parasite with low density (10/ul). Proportion subject with gametocyte also decreased significantly on falciparum malaria (p=0,000) and vivax malaria (p=0,000). Conclusion: Clinical and parasitological response of DHP in falciparum and vivax subjects was excellent by D3. Only one falciparum malaria subject (0,8%) was still detected asexual parasitemia with the density of 10/ul. DHP has rapid action and no clear signs artemisinin resistance. Kulon Progo Regency is one of regencies in Yogyakarta (DIY), which until now has not declared elimination of malaria. PHC Kokap II located in Kokap sub-district, is the largest contributor of positive malaria cases in Kulon Progo regency due to the potential for outbreaks of malaria, during the period 1997-2004, when the number of malaria positive patients in the PHC Kokap II ranged between 26% - 55% of patients of the total positive malaria cases in Kulon Progo. This study aims to produce epidemiological information that is important in the region of PHC Kokap II associated with the distribution and determinants of malaria that affects the possibility of local transmission. Methods: The study design was a descriptive study, to get an overview of the distribution and determinants of malaria. The observation unit is the population in the form of correlation studies population and a time series. To determine the pattern of malaria transmission we use secondary data between 2009- 2012 malaria cases. Malaria incidence patterns were analyzed by person, place and time. To determine the clusters of malaria we use clustering analysis with the data of malaria cases in the region PHC Kokap II year 2012. To determine the spread of malaria in the cross-border area between PHC Kokap II and PHC Kaligesing we use secondary data year 2010-2012. Results: In the area of PHC Kokap II, we found import cases every year. Even more, in the year 2009 the proportion of import cases was 82% compared with all patients that were found malaria positive. Clusters of malaria is in the west region of PHC Kokap II, which is bordering to the Subdistrict Kaligesing, Purworejo, Central Java Province. Region PHC Kokap II is an area of high vulnerability, the potential to get the risk of transmission of imported cases of malaria is due to the entry of patients or infective vectors from high transmission areas to low transmission. Conclusion: The focus of malaria transmission in the area of PHC Kokap II is at the western part bordering the sub-district Kaligesing, Purworejo. PHC Kokap II is the region of high vulnerability. Policies need to be made use of epidemiological boundaries in the malaria control program in the cross-border region. The clinical manifestation of malaria is varied, and many factors may influence its clinical manifestation. Despite the species of malaria, density of parasitemia is known related to the severity or malignancy of malaria. It is worth to analyse the clinical and laboratory data of malaria cases in monitoring dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine (DHP) treatment. The extended analysed was done to assess the relationship between density of parasitemia and clinical manifestations. A subset data of monitoring DHP treatment in subjects with uncomplicated falciparum and vivax malaria in Kalimantan and Sulawesi which were consist of clinical and laboratory day-0 data was used in analysing. Clinical data were recorded through anamnesis and physical examination. Parasite density was counted by health centre microscopist and then cross-checked by certified microscopists of the Natiional Institute of Health Reseach and Development. Haemoglobin level was also measured by health centre analyst using the existing Sahli hemoglobinmeter. For parasite density category, median is used for cut off point. In P.falciparum malaria, the cut off point is 5588/µl and in P.vivax malaria is 3375/µl. The relationship between parasite density and clinical manifestation in falciparum and vivax malaria was determined by bivariate and multivariate analysis with logistic regression using SPSS 17 software. The most of subject with P.falciparum and P.vivax malaria are children (<15 yeras old), male, and non indigenous. From analysis bivariate, variabels that can be analyzed by multivariate in P.falciparum malaria (p<0,25) are children under 15 years old (p=0,0 12) and Sulawesi island where subject live(p=0,163) and In P.vivax malaria is children under 15 years old (p=0,218). Because of other variables are considered biologicaly related to parasite density, therefore all variabel are analyzed with multivariate. From multivariate analysis, there is significant relationship between parasite density and chidren under 15 years old in P.falciparum malaria (OR = 0,4, CI95%= 0,2-1,0). In P.vivax malaria, parasite density is related to children under 15 years old (OR = 0,6, CI 95% =0,2-1,9), haemoglobin level under 11gr/dl (OR= 1,4, CI 95%= 0,5-3,8), non indigenous OR= 0,3, CI 95%= 0,1-1,2) and the sum of clinical symptom <7 (OR=0,7, CI 95%=0,3-1,9). Parasite density is not related with clinical manifestation in P.falciparum malaria.. Parasite density is related to children under 15 years old significantly in P.falciparum malaria. In P.vivax malaria, parasite density are related to children under 15 years old, anemia, non indigenous, and the sum of clinical symptom <7. But the relationship isn?t significant. Bagian Data dari Monitoring drug resistance in subject with P.falciparum and P.vivax malaria in Kalimantan and Sulawesi, Indonesia yang terdiri dari klinis dan laboratorium hari 0 dianalisa. KATA KUNCI prevalensi; malaria; endemik; Asmat; Papua ABSTRACT Malaria is still an endemic disease in Indonesia, despite years of government efforts to cure and prevent malaria. World Health Organization (WHO) has a goal to reduce malaria case incidence globally at least 90% in 2030 compared with 2015.Asmat is one of the high endemic areas in Indonesia, making Asmat one of the target areas for malaria elimination programs. However, the published data regarding malaria in Asmat is limited. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of malaria in Asmat in 2017 and assess the trend of malaria prevalence, as an indicator in evaluating malaria elimination programs. This study was descriptive observational research which was performed from March 17th until April 30th 2018, as part of Kuliah Kerja Nyata - Peduli Bencana (KKN-PB) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in Asmat Regency. This study was using secondary data analysis and environmental observation. Secondary data was obtained from Department of Health in Asmat Regency and presented descriptively. Environmental observation in Agats, Atsj, and Sawaerma District was also conducted to find out the possible risk factors of malaria. In 2017, malaria prevalence in Asmat was 12.37% with 7.9% cases being clinically diagnosed malaria, and the other 4.46% laboratory diagnosed malaria. The prevalence in 2017 was higher than in 2016. Among all the districts in Asmat, Atsj had the highest prevalence (27.70%). Malaria prevalence was possibly affected by multiple factors, such as physical environment (temperature, humidity, houses’ wall density, and the use of wire net), biological environment (house surrounded by bush or swamp), chemical environment (pH and salinity), and habits in community. These findings suggest that malaria control is still a big challenge for health-care workers and government. Further research is needed to study the exact causes of high malaria prevalence in Asmat, so that more appropriate policies can be done to overcome the problem.KEYWORDS prevalence; malaria; endemic; Asmat; Papua", "publisher": "Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada", "sourceUrl": "https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/jcoemph/article/view/38309/22894", "documentId": "1300018", "scholarUrl": "http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%2Bintitle%3A\"Prevalensi+malaria+di+Asmat+Papua+Gambaran+situasi+terkini+di+daerah+endemik+tinggi\"", "downloadUrl": "https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/jcoemph/article/download/38309/22894", "journalTitle": "Journal of Community Empowerment for Health" }, { "doi": "10.33024/jkpm.v7i6.14784", "year": 2024, "issue": "6", "title": "Pemberdayaan Kader dalam Usaha Penemuan Kasus Malaria melalui Kegiatan MBS (Mass Blood Survey) Sebagai Hasil Implementasi Pelatihan di Desa Lempasing Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Hanura", "volume": "7", "authors": [ { "name": "Ujiani, Sri", "authorId": "1498948" }, { "name": "Sulistianingsih, Eka", "authorId": "1223993" }, { "name": "Nuraini, Sri", "authorId": "602856" } ], "abstract": "ABSTRAK Desa Lempasing terletak di daerah lahan berawa dan ditumbuhi banyak semak yang memungkinkan untuk tempat berkembangbiaknya vektor malaria. Lempasing Village is one of the working areas of Hanura Community Health Center located in Pesawaran District. According to data from the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Lempasing Village has the highest number of malaria cases in Lampung Province. Therefore, the participation of academic community of Tanjungkarang Health Polytechnic, cadres, and the community is necessary to assist in addressing the malaria problem through promotive and preventive efforts, such as community service activities, one of which is the effort to detect (screen) malaria cases to reduce transmission in supporting malaria control by empowering trained malaria cadres. In addition, educating the community about malaria must continue to be carried out. In this community service activity, malaria education has been conducted in Lempasing Village, malaria cases have been detected through Mass Blood Survey (MBS) activities, and malaria medication has been provided to positive cases. The achievements of the program in this community service activity are a 77% increase in knowledge among Lempasing Village residents about malaria, the implementation of malaria case detection (screening) activities for 522 residents of Lempasing Village resulting in 26 positive malaria cases, and the provision of medication to 26 individuals with malaria. The output target of this community service activity is the publication of community service activities through the Politeknik Kesehatan Tanjungkarang Journal \"Beguai Jejama.\" Keywords: Malaria, Malaria Cadres, Mass Blood Survey (MBS)", "publisher": "Universitas Malahayati Lampung", "sourceUrl": "https://ejurnalmalahayati.ac.id/index.php/kreativitas/article/view/14784/Download%20Artikel", "documentId": "4500967", "scholarUrl": "http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%2Bintitle%3A\"Pemberdayaan+Kader+dalam+Usaha+Penemuan+Kasus+Malaria+melalui+Kegiatan+MBS+Mass+Blood+Survey+Sebagai+Hasil+Implementasi+Pelatihan+di+Desa+Lempasing+Wilayah+Kerja+Puskesmas+Hanura\"", "downloadUrl": "https://ejurnalmalahayati.ac.id/index.php/kreativitas/article/download/14784/Download%20Artikel", "journalTitle": "Jurnal Kreativitas Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM)" }, { "doi": "10.56922/phc.v5i12.2427", "year": 2026, "issue": "12", "title": "Edukasi kesehatan tentang malaria sebagai upaya mendukung program eliminasi malaria", "volume": "5", "authors": [ { "name": "Thoyibah, Zurriyatun", "authorId": "2270967" }, { "name": "Haryani, Haryani", "authorId": "277329" }, { "name": "Mardani, Raden Ahmad Dedy", "authorId": "506661" }, { "name": "Metri, Ni Ketut", "authorId": "631967" }, { "name": "Hajri, Zuhratul", "authorId": "1411313" } ], "abstract": "Background: Malaria remains a public health problem in Indonesia, particularly in endemic and hypoendemic areas. Although the national elimination target was set for 2030, malaria cases were still reported as of 2024, including in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Bukit Tinggi Village, the working area of the Penimbung Community Health Center, faces environmental risk factors, population mobility, and suboptimal preventive behaviors. Limited public knowledge is a major challenge in supporting malaria elimination. Purpose: To increase public knowledge, awareness, and understanding of malaria and its prevention as part of malaria elimination efforts. Method: This community service activity was carried out in September 2024 in Batu Kemalik Hamlet, Bukit Tinggi Village, Penimbung District, West Lombok Regency. The activity was attended by 20 community members and Batu Kemalik Hamlet officials. The target of the activity was community knowledge about malaria and maintaining the environment of Batu Kemalik Hamlet so that it does not become a malaria endemic. The activity was carried out with a community participation-based education approach. Measurement of knowledge levels used questionnaires with direct interviews given before the educational activity (pre-test) and after the educational activity (post-test). Observation activities were carried out in October 2024 as an evaluation in assessing program implementation in Batu Kemalik Hamlet. Descriptive evaluation was carried out by looking at changes in the knowledge and understanding scores of participants before the educational activity (pre-test) and after the educational activity (post-test). Results: The level of knowledge of participants before the educational activity was 2 (10.0%) in the good category, 4 (20.0%) in the sufficient category, and 14 (70.0%) in the poor category. There was an increase in knowledge of participants after the educational activity, with 18 (90.0%) in the good category and 2 (10.0%) in the sufficient category. This increase in knowledge was also demonstrated by the practical efforts undertaken after receiving education on malaria prevention. Conclusion: Community service activities through health education using an interactive and participatory approach have had a significant impact on increasing public knowledge and understanding of malaria. The increased public knowledge through these activities also increased community motivation and awareness to implement malaria management and prevention measures in their communities as an effort to end the malaria endemic. Suggestion: Strengthening sustainable education programs through empowering health cadres and establishing malaria awareness groups is recommended, with regular and continuous health education implementation to enable the community to play an active role as agents of change in malaria prevention. It is hoped that similar community service activities can become a model for sustainable community-based health education and contribute significantly to supporting the achievement of the malaria elimination target in West Lombok Regency. Several strategies have been carried out to achieve national elimination by 2030. This study aims to explore innovative strategies for controlling malaria in Fakfak Regency, West Papua Province which is one of the malaria endemic areas in eastern Indonesia. This type of research is a qualitative study using in-depth interviews with malaria program managers (n=6). The interview process was recorded through the zoom-meeting application and then transcription of the interview results was used to conduct content analysis. The results showed that the Bela Kaca Innovation (Bebas Malaria Kampung Bercahaya), which was initiated by the Fakfak Regency Health Office, hassucceeded significantly in reducing malaria cases in the last 5 years. This program fights malaria from village to village by involving all parties in the Malaria Center. The innovation of Bela Kaca is carried out by attacking and defending strategies. The attacks are carried out intensively in villages that had 5 or more malaria cases within two months by mass screening, indoor residual spraying (IRS), surveys of insecticide-treated mosquito nets and vector control until cases become zero. The survival strategy is carried out if there are no malaria cases, then surveillance is carried out strictly, if cases are found, then the 1-2-5 method is used. Malaria during pregnancy is one of the primary risk factors for infant malnutrition. The association between malaria and LBW incidence in high malaria-endemic regions such as Papua needs further examination to address these two health issues. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between malaria exposure during pregnancy and LBW incidence in Papua. The study used a case-control design conducted in 2024 across 21 community health centers (puskesmas) in Papua. The sample consisted of 288 respondents, including 96 cases (LBW) and 192 controls (infants with normal birth weight), selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected through medical record reviews and structured interviews using questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using chi-square tests and multivariate logistic regression. The results showed that the most frequently identified Plasmodium species were Plasmodium vivax (tertian malaria) (45.9%), followed by Plasmodium falciparum (tropical malaria) (41.0%). Malaria exposure during pregnancy most commonly occurred in the second trimester (39.3%). Malaria during pregnancy (adjusted OR = 2.09; 95% CI: 1.14–3.84) and non-use of insecticide-treated bed nets during pregnancy (adjusted OR = 1.83; 95% CI: 1.09–3.08) were identified as risk factors for LBW. Additionally, maternal age in the high-risk category was significantly associated with LBW incidence (adjusted OR = 2.18; 95% CI: 1.24–3.86). Malaria exposure during pregnancy and high-risk maternal age were factors influencing LBW incidence in Papua. This study was designed to determine a model of spatial mapping for the ecology of vegetation and the potential habitats for the Anopheles mosquitos. Methods: Descriptive epidemiological research was employed to carry out the project, supported with a cross-sectional design. The research took place in Kupang regency, Oesao village, lasting for 2 months from October to November 2014. The ecology of the vegetation and all habitats of the mosquitos in Oesao village were regarded as the population of the research. They were purposively sampled. Results: The vegetation mapping revealed that the land area for rice fields is 169 ha, coconut and banana tress 56.68 ha, maize 67.03 ha, vegetable plants 59.53 ha, forages 21.52 ha, and forests 16.24 ha. The results of the mapping also revealed that the mosquitos breeding sites entail paddy fields, swamps, irrigation channels, and damps. Interpretation & conclution: The ecology of all types of plants mapped serves as potential habitats for the Anopheles mosquitos breeding sites. Plant ecology is quite varied in the Oesao Village, as well as extensive areas of the plant that are closely linked to inadequate growth and development of mosquitoes  and  specific species of Anopheles,  An. vagus and An. annularis. Kata Kunci: Kader Malaria, Petugas Kesehatan, Skrining Pemeriksaan Malaria, Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) dan Slide Malaria ABSTRACT In several Community Health Centers in endemic areas with a high number of malaria sufferers, malaria screening is often carried out in the community involving cadres from the local community for RDT examinations and making blood smear preparations. Based on a preliminary study conducted by Amban Community Health Center staff in 2024, Amban Community Health Center does not yet have Malaria cadres and interview studies of officers in charge of the malaria program, the majority said that they had never received training on how to make blood smears. The aim of this training is to increase the knowledge and skills of health workers in diagnosing malaria using RDT and making peripheral blood smears. The method of this service is to carry out training and refreshment of malaria cadres through health workers with outreach activities and assistance with RDT examinations and making malaria slides or blood smears using audiovisual media which is carried out for 3 days. After training and refreshment, the results of the training provided will be evaluated using an observation sheet or checklist on how to carry out RDT examinations and make blood smears. This disease is associated with characteristic damage to the optic nerve and permanent retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. A crucial step towards circuit repair in glaucoma is to promote damaged RGCs to regenerate not only axons, but also dendrites to successfully reconnect with their synaptic partners. The latest research showed that insulin signalling has the capacity to regenerate dendrites dan injured synapses, therefore the use of insulin raises a new paradigm as a new pro-regenerative therapeutic target for the disease of glaucoma. This literature review is made using literature searching of valid journals with inclusion and exclusion criteria. On the experiment of insulin’s effectivity, it is valued using 4 indicators; promote dendrite regeneration, restore synaptic density, rescue retinal function, robust neuronal survival. Based on in vivo experiment, insulin endowed with the ability to effectively restore dendritic morphology thus enhancing the function and survival of RGC through mTORC1 (mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1) and mTORC2 (mammalian target of rapamycin complex 2) signalling, this supports that that it can be promising therapeutic targets to counter progressive RGC neurodegeneration and vision loss in glaucoma.", "publisher": "Journal Medical Universitas muhammadiyah Makassar", "sourceUrl": "https://journal.unismuh.ac.id/index.php/aimj/article/view/2758/2188", "documentId": "1839899", "scholarUrl": "http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%2Bintitle%3A\"REGENERASI+DENDRIT+SEL+GANGLION+RETINA+PERAN+INSULIN+UNTUK+MENGEMBALIKAN+PENGLIHATAN+PADA+GLAUKOMA\"", "downloadUrl": "https://journal.unismuh.ac.id/index.php/aimj/article/download/2758/2188", "journalTitle": "Al-Iqra Medical Journal : Jurnal Berkala Ilmiah Kedokteran" }, { "doi": "10.26618/aimj.v3i1.2745", "year": 2019, "issue": "1", "title": "POTENSI SEL T MOBIL HER2 SPESIFIK MODIFIKASI CRISPR / CAS9 PD-1 / PD-L1 PEMBLOKIRAN SEBAGAI INOVASI TERAPI UVEAL MELANOMA", "volume": "2", "authors": [ { "name": "Muhammad AH Khoiruddin", "authorId": "3850497" }, { "name": "Yusi Windya Febriyanti", "authorId": "3850498" }, { "name": "Nafia Amalia", "authorId": "3850499" } ], "abstract": "Uveal Melanoma (UM) is the primary intraocular tumor most commonly found in adults. Retinoblastoma tumors consist of areas with high angiogenic activity and other areas with low oxygen pressure conditions. Tumor cells that survive in this hypoxic region have been shown to be resistant to chemotherapy and radiation, namely standard retinoblastoma therapy which selectively targets rapidly dividing cell populations, so that therapy is needed that can reach up to the hypoxic cells. 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) has been shown to be effective in reducing hypoxic areas in tumors, reducing tumor buds, and inhibiting angiogenesis. to discuss the glycolytic 2-DG inhibitors as adjuvant therapy in retinoblastoma. The authors searched for medical articles in the PubMed and ResearchGate literature databases with the keywords treatment, 2-deoxy-D-glucose, 2-DG, retinoblastoma, and cancer. The words are combined with OR or AND using Boolean logic. Based on the selection according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 4 articles were used as the main reference for writing this review literature. 2-DG will disregulate (inhibit) the process of angiogenesis through upregulation of Estrogen Receptor 1 Nuclear (ESR 1), ubiquitin, jun activation domain binding protein 1 (JAB1), G-protein alpha S, and CAPER in the apical part of the tumor and B3GNT1 upregulation , CEPT1, PABPC1, myotrophin, HAX1 in the postero-lateral part of the tumor. H3, DTX1, RPL12, and bone morphogenic (BMP) histones are also upregulated so that hypoxia can be inhibited. With this mechanism, the tumor burden can be suppressed.
